A new year means a new album. I have delayed the release of my next album for too long for too many reasons. I have pivoted from my original release plan. Instead, I am doing what I have wanted to do for a very long time. I am filming an album movie to release along with my sophomore album. My plan is to release one song a week along with the video portion from the movie to accompany the song. My hope is that by releasing it this way, every song will get there time to breathe. When the full album releases the full movie will release as well with extra footage along with it. I don't have a release date as of yet, as I am just now in the early stages of filming the project. Will keep everyone promptly updated.

Thank you all

I just want to say thank you again for showing love to "Too Close For Comfort". I am overwhelmed that this project has resonated with people in the way that it has, and I think the next album will have an even bigger impact.

I am done with my next two albums and they are ready for release, I am currently mapping out a release plan for them. I am working with an artist for promotional aspects of the release to make the project extra special, but sadly this has caused delays with putting the album itself out. I am switching gears and still plan on releasing the next album very soon, and will keep you all updated promptly.

In the meantime, I am recording a documentary for the next, next album. This is something I have wanted to do for upwards of ten years now. And since I have all this gear for the documentary now, why not try livestreaming? I plan to do a couple livestreams a month. They will mostly consist of me making beats/songs, but I might try to play a couple games, and will most likely rant about movies. This is just a good opportunity for me to try out some things and connect with others. Maybe this will make me less awkward and camera shy... probably not. Will update when I actually have a streaming schedule in mind.

Thank You

Wow, the reception on the album has been amazing. I honestly didn't expect the feedback that I have been getting. I really thought people wouldn't notice what I was doing until this second album that I am about to put out. Thank you for listening, sharing and interacting with my music. This album marks the start of something special. To think people can connect to an album that is raw and rough around the edges means the world to me. I told my wife, I'm ready to put out this one so I can move onto the next one. She said, "sometimes people need something real", she wasn't surprised in the least when I told her that people are connecting with it and reaching out. Having a good support system is everything, people that believe in you, even when you don't believe in yourself. Once again, thank you for everything.

I'm not done with the "Too Close" campaign just yet. I will be releasing live performances, and videos here on my website and YouTube.

Sincerely, Matthew Fletcher
